A new Pokémon TCG expansion "Ascended Heroes" will release on January 30th, 2026
POKÉMON LEGENDS: Z-A
- Season 3 of Pokémon Legends: Z-A's Ranked Battles will begin on Thursday, November 27th, 2025, and run until Thursday, December 18th, 2025. During Season 3, players can earn the exclusive Chesnaughtite—which allows Chesnaught to Mega Evolve into Mega Chesnaught—by achieving Rank S in Online Ranked Battles. The Mega Stone rewards from Season 1 and 2, Greninjite and Delphoxite, will also return as a prize for players who reach Rank Y and Rank V, respectively, in Online Ranked Battles. Other rewards for ranking up include Safari Balls, Bottle Caps, Gold Bottle Caps, Seeds of Mastery, and Big Nuggets. Players will be limited to only using one "special Pokémon" (consisting of Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, or Diancie) per team in Season 3.

- The release date for the third Mega Evolution expansion, the special set Ascended Heroes, will release on January 30th, 2026. Ascended Heroes includes over 290 cards and will consist of cards from the Japanese High Class Set MEGA Dream ex and the Japanese Start Deck 100 Battle Collection releases. Cards revealed include Mega Charizard Y ex, Entei, N's Vanilluxe, and a special illustration rare of Mega Gengar ex. As a special set, booster boxes will not be produced for the set, and booster packs can only be obtained from products such as Elite Trainer Boxes.

POKÉMON GO
- The Tales of Transformation season concludes with the Final Justice event, running from Tuesday, November 25th, 2025 through Sunday, November 30th, 2025. This event adds Resolute Form Keldeo to the game, allowing players to use 50 Keldeo Candy to change forms. Resolute Keldeo learns its exclusive Charged Attack, Secret Sword. Shiny Keldeo is also available through a paid Masterwork Research ticket available only throughout the Final Justice event.

- Details about the next season, named Precious Paths and launching on December 2nd, 2025, were also revealed. Precious Paths will see the debuts of Gigantamax Meowth, Clobbopus, and Grapploct, as well as Charjabug and Sudowoodo wearing holiday costumes. Seasonal refreshes to wild spawns, egg pools, and Research Breakthroughs will occur, as well as rebalances to several moves for both Go Battle League and against Team GO Rocket.

POKÉMON TCG POCKET
- Part 2 of the First Anniversary Special Missions launched on November 22nd, 2025, and will be available until December 17th, 2025. These Missions, based on a variety of objectives such as player logins, participating in battles, obtaining flairs, sending thanks to other players, and modifying deck components, award a variety of booster packs of the sets that were released within the first year of Pocket's launch.

- Until November 30th, 2025, players can redeem the code LA1C26TA1LW1ND in the Mystery Gift feature of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet to receive a Whimsicott based on the Pokémon used by 2025 North American International Champion Federico Camporesi. Whimsicott comes with the moves Moonblast, Tailwind, Light Screen and Encore. Additional redemption events based on NAIC in Pokémon GO, Pokémon TCG Live, and Pokémon UNITE are also running through this week.

- A brand-new Mega-Evolved Pokémon was announced yesterday for the upcoming Pokémon Legends Z-A DLC Mega Dimension. Mega Zeraora will be making its debut in this expanded story on December 10th, 2025.

POKÉMON TCG POCKET
- A new Mega Pidgeot ex Drop Event launched on November 18th, 2025, adding five new Promo-B cards, including Petilil, Froakie, Luxray, Pidgey, and Mega Pidgeot ex. New missions for the Drop Event reward the player with Promo-B packs, as well as exchange tickets that can be traded for additional Promo-B packs containing the Drop Event promotional cards. This event runs until November 28th, 2025.

- Pokémon has announced a new tabletop board game, Pokémon GOITA, which will be released in Japan for ¥2,970 on December 18th, 2025. A free mobile app for the game is also in development and will be released in December.

Downloadable content for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, "Mega Dimension", will release on December 10th, 2025
POKÉMON LEGENDS: Z-A
- A new trailer for Mega Dimension has been released, confirming the DLC's December 10th, 2025 release date. In Mega Dimension, the Mythical Pokémon Hoopa uses its portals to bring the cast of Legends: Z-A to another dimension that is home to Alpha Pokémon above Level 100, many returning older Pokémon that were not present in the base game, and several new Mega Evolutions, including Mega Raichu X, Mega Raichu Y, Mega Chimecho, and Mega Baxcalibur. Baxcaliburite will release as a prize in Season 4's Online Ranked Battles. Additional news about Mega Dimension will be released on November 19th, 2025.

- An extra mission, Shine Bright Like a Gemstone, released on November 6th, 2025, through Mystery Gift. This free download gives players the Diancite hold item, and opens a mission after completing the main storyline in which Emma and her Espurr, Mimi, lead the player to an encounter with a Level 70 Diancie. Diancie must be captured to complete the mission, and the player can battle Diancie repeatedly until successfully capturing the Mythical.

POKÉMON POKOPIA
- The release date for the new life-simulation spinoff game, Pokopia, has been announced as March 5, 2026. The title will be released exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2 as a Game Key Card, requiring 10 GB of free space on the player's Nintendo Switch 2. Pre-orders for Pokopia are available now.

- New details have been shared today on the upcoming Pokémon Pokopia, a relaxing life simulation game, releasing on March 6th, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2. A new trailer released today sharing an in-depth look at this title, showcasing how Ditto, the character you control throughout the game, can copy the abilities of other Pokémon and use them to traverse and improve the world you play in. With the help of Professor Tangrowth, players can create a utopia where Pokémon and humans can live together. Other new "mysterious" Pokémon will make their debut in Pokémon Pokopia, including a Pikachu with drooping ears called Peakychu, a Snorlax which has moss growing all over its body called Mosslax, and Smearguru, a vibrantly coloured Smeargle.

POKÉMON GO
- Pokémon Go has announced the dates for next season's Community Days. As is tradition, December's Community Day is a two-day recap event in which all Community Day spotlight Pokémon from 2025 will be featured again, with some species featured on December 6th, 2025, and others on December 7th, 2025. Next season's Community Day Classic occurs on Sunday, January 4th, 2026, with January's Community Day taking place on Sunday, January 18th, 2026, and February Community Day on Sunday, February 1st, 2026. It is not yet known what the featured Pokémon will be on these later three Community Days.

- PokéPark KANTO's grand opening date has been announced as Thursday, February 5th, 2026. The attraction is a 26,000 square meter Pokémon-themed amusement park, located within Yomiuriland in Tama Hills, Tokyo. Two types of tickets for the park will go on sale on November 21st, 2025: the Trainer's Pass allows access to the Pokémon Forest area of the park, the Town Pass allows access to the Sedge Town area of the park, and the Ace Trainer's Pass allows access to both.

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet and Pokémon Sword & Shield continue to sell into the Nintendo Switch 2 generation
GENERAL
- Nintendo has updated their Top Selling Title Sales Units information, reflecting software sales as of September 30th, 2025. Pokémon Scarlet & Violet have now sold a total of 27.61 million copies (up from 26.79 million in May), while Pokémon Sword & Shield have sold 26.96 million (up from 26.72 million in May).

- Season 2 of Pokémon Legends: Z-A's Ranked Battles will begin on Wednesday, November 5th, 2025, and run until Tuesday, November 25th, 2025. During Season 2, players can earn the exclusive Delphoxite, which allows Delphox to Mega Evolve into Mega Delphox, by achieving Rank S in Online Ranked Battles. Season 1's Mega Stone reward, Greninjite, will also return as a prize for players who reach Rank Y in Online Ranked Battles. Other rewards for ranking up include Dream Balls, Bottle Caps, Gold Bottle Caps, Seeds of Mastery, and Big Nuggets.

- Pre-release events for the newest set, Phantasmal Flames, began on October 31st, 2025, at participating Play! Pokémon locations. Phantasmal Flames will release at retail stores on November 14th, 2025, and features many more Pokémon ex cards, including Mega Charizard X, Mega Gengar, Mega Diancie, and Mega Lopunny. Participating retailers will offer stamped promotional cards with a $15 purchase of TCG products: Suicune from GameStop in the US and EB Games in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand; Reshiram from Hot Topic and Barnes & Noble in the US; and Genesect from Best Buy in the US and JB Hi-Fi in Australia and New Zealand.

- Multiple smaller events launched alongside the release of Mega Rising on October 30th, 2025, including the First Anniversary Celebration Campaign, which offers several missions for players to complete to earn a Mega Evolution-themed emblem, backdrop, cover, card sleeves, coin, and playmat, along with various rewards such as Pack and Wonder Pick Hourglasses. A PROMO Reissue Event also launched on October 30th, 2025, allowing players to complete Wonder Picks and Drop Events to earn many of the Promo-A cards released in the previous year.

- The Pokémon Company have confirmed that 5.8 million units of the game sold in its first four days on sale, almost half of which were on Nintendo Switch 2.

- A new video highlighting the success of Pokémon TCG Pocket’s first year, has been released. The video confirms the title has received over 150 million downloads, and over 12 billion battles, 96 million trades, and 490 million showcases since it launched a year ago.

- A reminder that a new expansion to the Pokémon TCG Pocket app has now been released titled Mega Rising. The expansion features three booster packs: Mega Gyarados, Mega Blaziken, and Mega Altaria, with lots of great new Mega Evolution ex cards, and beautiful illustrated cards such as a cute Growlithe card. Additionally, beginning October 31st, 2025, accessories featuring Mega Blaziken will be obtainable in-game. Check the in-game news for further information.

A new update for the game is now available, adding a Share Feature to the game, allowing players to give ♦–♦♦♦♦ rarity cards to friends (one to each friend per day). There is also an expanded range of tradable cards, allowing for trades of ★★ and Shiny 1–Shiny 2 rarity cards, in addition to ♦–♦♦♦♦ and ★ rarity cards.

An improved Wonder Pick feature will now show cards from the latest expansion more frequently, and the number of cards currently owned by the player will be displayed on each card in Wonder Pick. - The official Pokémon TCG Pocket account on Twitter has shared an update on Card Dex Registration, and described how they plan to update cards that are registered in the card dex. In the future, cards which appear in multiple booster packs will be registered in the card dex for all corresponding booster packs. Any cards obtained already will be automatically registered in every applicable card dex retroactively. This update is planned for release after Summer 2026.
